Fosters Solicitors

Community and Events News: August 2024

Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.

With the summer holidays in full swing, here’s what we got up to across the firm.

Lowestoft Pride

Following on swiftly from the celebrations of Norwich Pride, our Regent Road branch flew the flags for Lowestoft Pride, which was taking place in the town at the beginning of the month.

Daisy Day

Pictured is our Court of Protection Specialist, Paige Gouldthorpe at Elizabeth East Coast Hospice’s Daisy Day, at the Waveney Memorial Park in Beccles.

Team Mountain Fox conquer Scafell Pike

A huge well done to all in Team Mountain Fox for conquering Scafell Pike in support of Finnbar’s Force, our charity of the year for 2024.

Representing Fosters were Elisa Bristo and Jordan Rodwell, pictured here at a rather cloudy summit!

2024-25 kicks off!

The football league calendar commenced for all our partner teams through the Fosters Solicitors Anglian Combination Football League, as well as for Norwich City in the Sky Bet Championship and for newly promoted Lowestoft Town in the Southern Football League Premier Central.

Congratulations Tayor!

Our colleague, Taylor Walding, completed his training contract with the firm and qualified as a solicitor into our Personal Injury & Group Actions team.

Congratulations To Taylor from everyone at the firm!

A new season of fundraising

Our partners, the Norwich City Fans’ Social Club started their 2024-25 season with two events in August – firstly their Family Fun Evening and then their Players Fans’ Forum, which helped raise over £850 for the Community Sports Foundation.

Norwich Theatre membership renewal

Our Communications colleagues, Will Hoy and Hephzibah Ayuba met Lauren Farley, Business Development Manager at Norwich Theatre, to chat about our next year of Corporate Membership – delighted to be signed up for another year!

NCFC Community Hero – Tristan Cork

We were delighted to introduce Tristan Cork, co-founder of Finnbar’s Force, as the first Norwich City Community Hero of 2024-25. Tristan started the charity in memory of his son Finnbar, and was nominated by those at the charity for his drive and commitment. He is pictured here at the Sheffield United match at Carrow Road, alongside his daughter, receiving a commemorative certificate from Fosters Solicitors’ Commercial Director, Will Hoy.

Congratulations to Norfolk!

Our associate partners, Norfolk County Cricket Club picked up their first silverware in 15 years with a six-wicket win over Cheshire in the National Counties Trophy final. Congratulations to everyone at Norfolk Cricket!

Ian Potter Grassroots Hero presentation

Anglian Combination Chairman, Dale Brown, is pictured here presenting Ian Potter of Aylsham FC with his runners-up trophy for this year’s Fosters Solicitors Anglian Combination Grassroots Hero Award. Ian was nominated by his club for the immense amount of commitment he gives to the club and teams based at Aylsham. Congratulations to Ian and thanks again to Aylsham FC for taking part in the competition.

Football friendly

We were delighted to accept the kind invitation of fellow firm, Hansells Solicitors, to participate in a six-a-side football friendly – thank you to them and hopefully a return fixture is on the cards soon!

Mindfulness and munchies!

August’s last Friday of the month saw colleagues join together for a chat over pastries and a walk. Pictured here are our Wymondham branch who took a lovely walk around the town.
