Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.
With everyone returning to work and school after the summer holidays, September proved a busy month across the firm. Here’s what we got up to!
Our colleagues, Hephzibah Ayuba and Louise Howard, volunteered at the Finnbar’s Force Family Adventure Day. The annual event is run by our charity of year, inviting families to come along and take part in a range of outside activities to help them raise money for the work they do around childhood cancer support.
We were delighted to become accredited members of the Brain Injury Group, which sees our Personal Injury, Medical Negligence and Court of Protection services registered in their professional service directory.
Our Co-head of Personal Injury & Group Actions, Chris Turner, was also invited to attend the organisation’s relaunch event in London at the beginning of the month.
We joined our fellow corporate members at Norwich Theatre’s second Corporate Exhibition, providing an opportunity to get together to network and make new business connections.
Huge congratulations to our Wills, Trusts & Probate colleague, Louise Gibbs-Kneller for becoming a full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) – their highest level of membership (known as TEP). Louise has qualified due to her significant first-hand experience of working within the field of life planning and estate administration – as well as undertaking the STEP exam programme over the last two years.
Members of our Business & Commercial team attended fellow Norwich City primary partner, 3B Data Security’s networking event, which took place at Carrow Road and heard from speakers providing top tips and advice on cyber security.
Colleagues attended the Fosters Solicitors Community Stadium to mark our continued community partnership with Lowestoft Town FC and are pictured here with Trawlerboys’ manager Jamie Godbold.
The Community Sports Foundation, as part of their annual takeover match day, celebrated the Norwich City Fans’ Social Club (NCFSC) passing £75,000 in fundraising for the charity. Pictured here are some of the group with Norwich City officials marking this wonderful achievement.
We joined our fellow legal professionals to participate in the annual Norwich Legal Walk, which involves walking 10km around the city centre in support of the Norfolk Community Law Service and Norfolk Citizens Advice. Thank you to Norfolk & Norwich Law Society and East Anglian Chambers for organising and hosting and to all in Team Fosters for their camaraderie!
Our Community Hero for Norwich City’s fixture against Watford was Tim Hirst, one of the top fundraisers for Run Norwich. Tim managed to raise £2,520 for Norwich City’s charity arm. However, the city’s biggest 10k race was not Tim’s first-time fundraising, as the 81-year-old has been raising money for fantastic causes since the mid ‘80s. Tim is pictured here with our Partner, Damien Moore who presented him with a certificate to mark his achievement.
Team Fosters put in another competitive performance at the latest NCFSC quiz! With 33 teams in total, the night helped raise an amazing £3,100 for the Community Sports Foundation.
Through our strategic partnership with Royal Norwich, we supported this prestigious golf event. Pictured is our Partner, Iain McClay with his team on the day.
The last Friday or the month saw our star bakers rustle up some delights in support of our charity of the year, Finnbar’s Force. Thanks to them!
The Norwich and Norfolk Law Society’s Excellence Awards were held at Caistor Hall Hotel. Congratulations to our Litigation & Dispute Resolution colleague, Tyler Clayton who was deservedly nominated in the Trainee of the Year category.
