Our Joint Deputy Heads of Wills, Trusts & Probate, Louise Gibbs-Kneller and Lauren Crosby, are full STEP members.

STEP – the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners – is a global professional body with more than 23,000 members, including lawyers, accountants, trustees and other practitioners who help families plan for the future.

Its mission is to inspire confidence in families planning their assets across generations by setting and upholding high professional standards, informing public policy, promoting education, and connecting practitioners around the world to share knowledge and best practice.

Full STEP members, recognised by the letters ‘TEP’ (Trust and Estate Practitioner) after their name, are internationally acknowledged as experts in their field, with proven qualifications and experience.

Both Louise and Lauren have achieved this highest level of STEP membership through their significant first-hand experience in life planning, registered trusts and estate administration, alongside completing the STEP exam programme.

This membership requires them to continue adhering to STEP’s Codes of Professional Conduct, demonstrating their commitment to the highest professional standards.

Louise also holds the STEP Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation.

This qualification further demonstrates Louise’s expertise in Will drafting and her compliance with the STEP Will Writing Code.
