Lexcel – legal practice excellence

Lexcel is The Law Society’s legal practice quality mark for client care, compliance and practice management. The firm is assessed annually against set criteria which set standards around areas such as client care, risk management, financial management, and file and case management.

Although not mandatory within the legal sector, Fosters has chosen to undertake this annual audit for over a decade, which Practice Director Andrea Spooner explains: “Providing high quality service to our clients is so important to us and very much the key driver of our culture here at Fosters. Therefore, we believe this accreditation, alongside the Customer Service Excellence quality mark, helps us deliver our compliance and service standards.

“For us, being able to undertake this process gives us the ability to learn from our colleagues and clients and help us continually improve what we do. We’ve therefore been delighted to receive such positive feedback and be highly commended for sustaining an extremely high level of compliance against the Lexcel Standard.”
