FAQs

Fosters In House FAQs

The service covers the majority of day-to-day legal matters that arise in running a business. This includes drafting and reviewing contracts and terms and conditions, employment law advice, data protection and other regulatory compliance, intellectual property advice, and corporate law matters, including questions relating to company governance, directors and shareholders.

If a matter falls outside the scope of the service, we’ll let you know before any additional costs are incurred.

We have an initial conversation with you about your business to understand the types of legal matters likely to arise and the volume of support you’ll need. Based on this, we agree a monthly budget that reflects the level of service appropriate for a business like yours.

The fee is fixed, so you know what you’ll pay each month. If your needs change, we can review the arrangement with you.

We can discuss the terms that work for your business. We aim to make the arrangement as flexible as possible so that it genuinely works for you. Please get in touch for a free, no-obligation conversation, and we’ll explain the terms in full.

Fosters In House is designed primarily for businesses that don’t have their own in-house legal team but deal with legal questions on a regular basis. It’s also used by businesses that have an in-house lawyer but need additional capacity or a specialist sounding board at busy periods.

We’ve worked with businesses of all sizes across a wide variety of sectors, including technology, retail, sport and professional services.

Yes. Employment law advice is included within the service. This covers day-to-day HR and employment questions, advising on contracts, disciplinary and grievance matters, and other employment issues as they arise in your business.

If you need more intensive support, for example in relation to a tribunal claim, this may be handled separately, and we’ll advise you accordingly.
