Community and Event News: March 2026

Fosters Solicitors

Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.

March was packed with activity across the firm, from community events and student engagement to celebrations, fundraising, and industry recognition.

Junior lawyers breakfast get-together

Our Norwich & Norfolk Junior Lawyers Division cohort attended their first coffee and bagel breakfast event at our neighbours, OP’s – a lovely way to start the day and connect with peers.

UEA Employability Event

A range of colleagues from across disciplines and career stages visited the University of East Anglia for an engaging session with students. Discussions covered our firm, student opportunities, training contracts, and life as a trainee and newly qualified solicitor. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase who we are and connect with future talent.

NNLS Countdown Quiz

We took part in the annual Norfolk & Norwich Law Society quiz, competing to win the countdown clock while supporting the Norfolk Community Law Service.

Deputyship expertise webinar

Our Court of Protection and deputyship specialist, Paige Gouldthorpe, joined Fraser & Fraser for the webinar “Deputyship Applications Made Clear: A Practical Guide to Protecting Vulnerable Individuals.” Paige shared her expertise to help equip practitioners with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the deputyship process effectively while safeguarding vulnerable individuals.

UEA Mock Trial Final

We were pleased to continue our support of the UEA Law Society’s annual mock trial competition by hosting the final at our William House branch. Well done to all the students involved.

Taking Care of What Matters Event

We held our inaugural Taking Care of What Matters event in Wymondham, bringing together our Residential Property and Wills, Trusts & Probate teams alongside other local businesses. The drop-in session offered guidance on property downsizing and future planning, while also supporting our charity of the year, Wymondham Dementia Support Group.

Celebrating our Charity of the Year

We were delighted to celebrate Carol Tooke as our Norwich City Community Hero for March. Carol was nominated by Wymondham Dementia Support Group (WDSG) in recognition of her outstanding dedication and compassion. As our charity of the year, we were pleased to host Carol and colleagues from WDSG at Carrow Road and present her Community Hero certificate on the day.

Congratulations to Partner, Paige Gouldthorpe, who was highly commended in the Entrepreneur of the Year category at the 2026 Legal Growth Awards.

Wills, Trusts & Probate Solicitor, Jordan Rodwell, delivered a session at Morley Business Centre titled “The Importance of a Valid Will and the Pitfalls of Not Having One” to members of The Institute of Agricultural Secretaries and Administrators.

For a number of years, we have supported Higher Education Norfolk Aspiration through online sessions introducing students to careers in law. This year, our trainees Chloe Galindez and Ben Yallop, along with Solicitor Apprentice Joe Oram, took part, sharing their legal journeys with participating students.
