Community and Event News: July 2026
Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a wide variety of events with our business and community partners, while also supporting the wellbeing of our colleagues and the wider local community.
July was another busy month for colleagues across Fosters, with opportunities to share expertise, support local events, celebrate achievements and strengthen connections with our clients, partners and wider community.
Keeping up with a changing conveyancing landscape
Alongside Geodesys, colleagues from our Residential and Commercial Property teams took part in a training day led by IQ Legal Training, exploring the latest developments in conveyancing. The session covered a range of important topics including search due diligence, reporting on title, Building Safety Act implications, climate change considerations, leasehold reform, commercial leases and recent case law developments.
Supporting carers and care providers
Paige Gouldthorpe, Head of Court of Protection & Vulnerable Persons, was invited to speak at events organised by The Hamlet Charity, Norfolk and Suffolk Care Support, and Norfolk County Council.
Paige shared valuable insights on life planning for vulnerable people, deputyships, assessing mental capacity and the implications of the Supreme Court’s recent judgment relating to the landmark Cheshire West case.
Connecting with TaxAssist partners
Louise Gibbs-Kneller, Jordan Rodwell and Joe Oram from our Wills, Trusts & Probate team travelled to the British Motor Museum in Warwickshire to attend TaxAssist’s annual conference, bringing together franchisees, colleagues and supplier partners from across their network.
Networking with a wild twist
Danielle Groom and Tom Miller represented our Wills, Trusts & Probate team at Suffolk Chamber’s Safari Networking event at Africa Alive in Kessingland. The event brought together around 80 business professionals from across the region for a morning of networking in a unique setting.
Opening our doors in Wymondham
We joined businesses across Wymondham for the town’s Late Night Shopping event, with colleagues from our Residential Property and Wills, Trusts & Probate teams welcoming both new and existing clients to our Wymondham office.
Celebrating Norwich Pride
We were delighted to return to The Forum for the 18th Norwich Pride celebrations, bringing along our popular glitter bar and temporary tattoos as we joined thousands of people celebrating diversity, inclusion and community.
Taking part in the NCFSC Charity Tournament
Colleagues and friends of the firm took part in the Norwich City Fans’ Social Club six-a-side football tournament, helping support fundraising efforts for the Community Sports Foundation.
Exam success across the firm
Congratulations to our apprentices Lucas, Sienna, Hannah, Elisa, Ella and Sashka, who all achieved fantastic results in their latest examinations while balancing their studies alongside their work at Fosters. Their achievements reflect the hard work, commitment and dedication they continue to show as they develop their careers within the legal profession.
Fosters named Number One in East Anglia for client recommendation
July also brought some fantastic news for the firm, with Fosters Solicitors named the number one law firm in East Anglia for client recommendation in the latest Legal 500 client research.
Based on feedback from more than 5,000 clients across the region, the research ranks firms according to how likely clients are to recommend them to others using Net Promoter Score (NPS), making this recognition particularly meaningful as it reflects the experiences of those we support every day.
A smashing evening on court
Our Sports Committee organised a badminton session for colleagues during July. Despite the warm conditions at the UEA Sportspark, everyone enjoyed the opportunity to get active and have fun.
