Fosters Solicitors Anglian Combination 60th Anniversary Competition: Terms and Conditions

1. Fosters Solicitors LLP

“Fosters Solicitors” means Fosters Solicitors LLP, a limited liability partnership registered and incorporated in England and Wales with company number OC421626 whose registered address is William House, 19 Bank Plain, Norwich, Norfolk, NR2 4FS.

2. The Competition

2.1 The title of the competition is the Fosters Solicitors Anglian Combination 60th Anniversary Competition.

2.2 Fosters Solicitors is the headline sponsor of the Anglian Combination Football League, which comprises of seven league divisions, and 100 football teams.

2.3 In cooperation with the Anglian Combination Football League, Fosters Solicitors wishes to provide Anglian Combination Football League Clubs and their supporters the opportunity to enter into a prize competition for the chance to win the prize (as detailed at paragraph 5 below) (the “Competition”), subject to the conditions below.

3. How to enter

3.1 The Competition will run from 17:00 on Thursday 20th March (the “Opening Date”) to 23:59 on Monday 5th May 2025 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.

3.2 All competition entries must be received by Fosters Solicitors by no later than 23:59 on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date will not be considered.

3.3 To enter the Competition, by the Closing Date an entrant must submit to Fosters Solicitors’ email address at grassroots@fosters-solicitors.co.uk a nomination submission and provide details of their memory or piece(s) of memorabilia, together with an accompanying photograph if relating to a souvenir or piece of memorabilia. As part of the submission, the entrant must also state which Anglian Combination Football League Club they wish to gift the Kit Prize to, if they should win the Competition.

3.4 Fosters Solicitors will not accept:

(a) responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or

(b) proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Competition.

3.5 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3.7 The competition entries will be judged by a panel of judges made up of Anglian Combination Football League committee members and Fosters Solicitors representatives who will pick the most impactful and most deserving nomination, reflecting the 60th anniversary of the Anglian Combination Football League. The decision of the panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final.

3.8 Fosters Solicitors will send the full names of the judges to anyone who writes within one month after the Closing Date of the Competition requesting details of the judges and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in paragraph 1.

4. Eligibility

4.1 The Competition is open to all Anglian Combination League Clubs and their supporters.

4.2 In entering the Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Fosters Solicitors may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Competition.

4.3 Fosters Solicitors will not accept competition entries that are:

(a) automatically generated by computer;

(b) completed by third parties or in bulk;

(c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;

(d) photocopies and not originals; or

(e) incomplete.

4.4 Fosters Solicitors reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

5. The prize

5.1 The prize consists of:

(a) a £100 one4all gift card; and

(b) a Macron team playing kit comprising of one (1) goalkeeper and sixteen (16) outfield kits for an Anglian Combination Football League Club of the winner’s choice for the 2025/26 football season.

5.2 The prize is subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prize.

5.3 The prize set out at 5.1(b) is supplied by Macron. Fosters Solicitors reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond Fosters Solicitors’ control makes it necessary to do so.

5.4 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

6. Winners

6.1 The decision of the judges nominated by Fosters Solicitors is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

6.2 Fosters Solicitors will contact the winner as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry.

6.3 Fosters Solicitors must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Fosters Solicitors will announce that a valid award has taken place and publish the name of the winning entry and, if it deems it appropriate to do so, their winning entries (inclusive of the nominee’s name and the details of the nomination should it so wish) by way of an online (via its website) and social media announcement on Wednesday 11th June 2025 (“Announcement Date”). *Please note: Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Announcement Date has been changed from Friday 16th May 2025. 

6.4 If you, or the individual to whom the nomination relates, objects to any or all of yours or their surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Fosters Solicitors at grassroots@fosters-solicitors.co.uk In such circumstances, Fosters Solicitors must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

7. Claiming the prize

7.1 Fosters Solicitors will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner, including through the Anglian Combination Football League itself. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available or has not claimed their prize within five days of the Announcement Date, Fosters Solicitors reserves the right to offer the prize to another eligible entrant selected from the entries that were received before the Closing Date.

7.2 Fosters Solicitors does not accept any responsibility if the winner is not able to take up the prize.

7.3  The winner and the individual(s) to whom the winning entry relates will be requested to partake in promotional material with Fosters Solicitors and the Anglian Combination League upon acceptance of the prize including, but not limited to, a photograph of the winning entrant and the releasing of certain detail of the nomination, to announce them as the winner, on Fosters Solicitors’ website, and via social media accounts controlled by Fosters Solicitors. The winner shall be responsible for procuring the consent to such publication of any relevant individuals. The individual(s) to whom the winning entry relates will be requested to attend and receive their prize at the Anglian Combination Football League AGM on 9th June 2025 (or such other date as may be required).

8. Limitation of liability

Insofar as is permitted by law, Fosters Solicitors, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Fosters Solicitors, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

9. Intellectual property rights

9.1 By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:

(a) assign to Fosters Solicitors all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee within your competition entry;

(b) warrant to Fosters Solicitors and Anglian Combination Football League that you are the sole owner of the intellectual property rights within the competition entry, and any accompanying material, imagery, souvenir or memorabilia forming part of, or included within, your competition entry;

(b) grant to Fosters Solicitors (and Anglian Combination Football League as the case may be) a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty free, worldwide licence to use, display, publish, copy, edit, transmit, re-format and reproduce any accompanying material, including any imagery of souvenirs or memorabilia forming part of, or included within, your competition entry; and

(c) waive all moral rights in and to your competition entry,

and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.

9.2 You agree that Fosters Solicitor may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website at www.fosters-solicitors.co.uk and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the Competition. You agree to grant Fosters Solicitors a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.

9.3 You agree that Fosters Solicitors, in conjunction with the Anglian Combination Football League, are entitled to digitally record all memories and/or memorabilia forming part of your competition entry as part of a wider ‘living history’ digital display to be retained by the Anglian Combination Football League, including the ability to exhibit such display to the public as part of their Annual General Meeting. As a result:

(a) you grant to Fosters Solicitors and Anglian Combination Football League a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty free licence to use, copy, edit, alter, transmit, re-format, reproduce and display your competition entry and all accompany material, souvenir, imagery or memorabilia forming part of your competition entry within the ‘living history’ digital display; and

(b) Fosters Solicitors and/or Anglian Combination Football League (as the case may be) shall otherwise be the owner of all intellectual property rights inherent within or forming part of the ‘living history’ digital display and any digital recordings of or within such display, save in respect of clause 9.3(a) above.

10. Data protection and publicity

10.1 Fosters Solicitors will only process personal information it receives as set out in its Privacy Policy available at https://www.fosters-solicitors.co.uk/privacy-policy/. See also condition 3, condition 6.4, and condition 7.3 with regard to the announcement of winners.

10.2 All entries submitted shall be subject to the entrant(s) obtaining all necessary permissions and consents in relation to imagery and personal data of any individuals to whom the entry nomination relates or refers to. Fosters Solicitors shall not be held liable if the winning entry is unable to take up the prize as a result of the winning entrant’s failure to comply Club this clause 10.2 and any losses it incurs as a result.

11. General

11.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Fosters Solicitors, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Competition.

11.2 Fosters Solicitors reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

11.3 These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
