This month’s Fosters Solicitors’ Community Hero is Simon Ludkin, nominated by the Community Sports Foundation for his fundraising efforts this year.
Simon is a regular volunteer on fundraising events and this year has also chosen to walk 52 marathons throughout 2025, one a week, in support of the Foundation.

His final marathon will be completed at Carrow Road ahead of Norwich City’s Sky Bet Championship tie against Watford.
Senior events manager at the Foundation, Paul Hunter, said: “We are delighted to see Simon recognised as Community Hero.
“He is a wonderful servant to the Foundation and its wider community; from participant to volunteer, he has always been there for anyone who needs him.
“This unenviable challenge is not only physically but mentally demanding and today marks Simons 52nd marathon.
“We had no doubt that Simon would deliver on his pledge and we are proud to call him one of our own.
“We hope this award recognises just how much we appreciate everything Simon stands for and his unwavering support of the work we do here at the Foundation.
On being recognised, Simon said: “It is simply nothing I had ever anticipated happening, I am truly humbled and extremely proud to be chosen as the Community Hero.”
Since 2019, Fosters Solicitors have joined our partners Norwich City Football Club in highlighting the great work of local individuals and organisations in our community.
Every month during the football season, a ‘Community Hero’ is chosen for a selected matchday – providing an opportunity to showcase that person(s) or initiatives selfless work or important community campaign.
Previous Community Heroes have included young carers, veterans, equality campaigners, charity fundraisers and their beneficiaries.
