The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to take on a hands-on role within our Court of Protection team. You will work closely with clients, families, and carers to provide practical, financial, and legal support with professionalism, empathy, and care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day finances and bill payments for clients.
  • Assisting with budgeting, financial planning, and coordination of essential purchases.
  • Conducting client home visits across Norfolk and Suffolk to assess ongoing needs and provide support.
  • Undertaking state benefit reviews.
  • Working collaboratively with fee earners to ensure high-quality service and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Drafting letters, witness statements, court applications and other documentation as required.
  • Assisting other solicitors and case handlers in the team with their cases.
  • Assisting with marketing the services of the team internally and outside of the firm.

About you

We are looking for a proactive, detail-driven professional who brings sound judgment and strong client care. Previous experience within Court of Protection matters is preferred, however candidates from a private client background who wish to specialise in this area will also be considered.

Essential skills and attributes include:

  • Strong financial judgment including budget management and payment processing.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, including a confident and compassionate telephone manner.
  • Experience in client liaison and negotiation to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Proficiency in IT, including case management systems.
  • A supportive and collaborative approach, able to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • A full UK driving licence, use of a vehicle, and appropriate insurance for business use is required.

Why join us?

At Fosters Solicitors, we value our people as much as our clients. We offer:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for career progression and professional development.
  • The opportunity to join a Legal 500 recognised team within a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • A firm culture that values wellbeing, inclusivity, and professional growth.
