Litigation Paralegal

We are looking for a Paralegal to join our Litigation & Dispute Resolution department, with a focus on landlord and tenant property litigation.

The opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving Litigation & Dispute Resolution team within a busy, full-service law firm. You will provide key support to fee earners, assisting on a range of matters with a particular focus on landlord and tenant disputes.

This role is well suited to someone looking to develop their legal experience, whether you already have experience in a similar role or are seeking to build on a strong academic background in law.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to fee earners within the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team.
  • Undertake legal research to support ongoing matters.
  • Assist with drafting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Record time accurately and assist with billing, including raising invoices.
  • Handle new client enquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients via telephone, in person and via MS Teams.
  • Support with general administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department.

About you

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • A genuine interest in litigation, particularly landlord and tenant property disputes.
  • An understanding of legal processes and dispute resolution principles (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to use initiative and anticipate team needs.
  • Good IT skills and attention to detail.
  • A flexible, practical and common-sense approach to problem solving.
  • A professional and consistent approach in all aspects of work.

Experience

Previous experience within the legal sector is desirable, particularly in landlord and tenant or property litigation, though not essential. We would also welcome applications from candidates with a strong academic background in law who are looking to gain practical experience.
