The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a confident, personable, and proactive Legal Admin Assistant to join Sue Zavanaiu and our Residential Property team in Wymondham. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an award-winning legal practice, supporting the delivery of high-quality services to our valued clients.

About you and Key Responsibilities

You will play a vital role in supporting our property lawyers by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the team. Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Meeting and greeting clients and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Drafting and issuing sale contracts and standard documentation.
  • Ordering mortgage redemption figures and property searches.
  • Preparing Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) forms and post-completion paperwork.
  • Supporting the exchange and completion process.
  • Answering phones, taking accurate messages, and responding to basic client queries.
  • Providing quotes, onboarding clients, and assisting during busy periods.
  • Filing, scanning, and maintaining client records in line with regulatory standards.

Skills and experience required

While prior knowledge of the conveyancing process is advantageous, it is not essential. Full training will be provided. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication.
  • Confidence in dealing with telephone queries and client drop-ins.
  • Ability to adapt and reprioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Case Management Systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive, initiative-led approach to problem-solving.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanour.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the role.

Training and Development

You will receive full training by Sue and the team on:

  • Anti-Money Laundering regulations and Lexcel standards.
  • Issuing draft contract packages and preparing completion packs.
  • Handling exchanges, completions, and client queries.
  • Submitting searches, obtaining title information and redemption statements.
  • Ensuring post-completion registration is completed within priority deadlines.
