Community and Event News: August 2026

Fosters Solicitors

Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.

As summer continued, August provided plenty of opportunities for colleagues across Fosters to connect with local communities, support charitable initiatives, enjoy social events and celebrate both individual and firm-wide achievements. From community festivals and networking events to football, fundraising and professional recognition, it was another busy month across the firm.

Out and about in the community

A sunny day at Gorleston Clifftop Festival

Our Lowestoft team enjoyed a fantastic day at the annual Gorleston Clifftop Festival, meeting visitors from across the local community while hosting competitions and giveaways on a sun-soaked Norfolk coast.

Welcoming visitors in Wymondham

Our Middleton Street branch opened its doors for the second of Wymondham’s summer late night shopping events. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet both new and existing clients while supporting one of the town’s community and business initiatives.

Returning to the Norwich City Fans Social Club

With the 2026/27 football season underway, Norwich City Fans Social Club hosted its first fundraising event of the campaign in support of the Community Sports Foundation. The fans’ forum at Carrow Road featured special guest and Norwich City Head Coach Philippe Clement.

Recognising an extraordinary Community Hero

We were delighted to announce Steven Watson as our first Norwich City Community Hero of the 2026/27 season – welcoming him to Carrow Road for the Canaries’ fixture against Burnley.

Nominated in recognition of an incredible 50 years of public service, Steven has dedicated his career to helping others through the Royal Navy, the fire service and, more recently, the ambulance service.

Networking and professional development

Junior lawyers come together

Colleagues attended the latest Norfolk & Norwich Junior Lawyers Division networking event at Cosy Club Norwich. The relaxed lunchtime gathering provided an opportunity to connect with fellow legal professionals while hearing valuable insights from sponsors Smith & Pinching on pensions and financial planning.

Summer networking with Norwich Business Women Network

Family Law colleague Niamh Cogley attended the Norwich Business Women Network’s annual summer BBQ, which combined networking with a nostalgic sports day-themed afternoon in the sunshine.

Supporting Good Causes

Hunting for Treasure Across Norwich

A team of Fosters’ colleagues joined businesses from across Norfolk for the annual Smith & Pinching Treasure Hunt around Norwich.

The event raised an impressive £1,230 for The Smith & Pinching Charitable Trust while providing plenty of friendly competition, teamwork and fun along the way.

Celebrating our people

Tyler Clayton Elected NNJLD President

We were delighted to share that Tyler Clayton has been elected President of the Norfolk & Norwich Junior Lawyers Division. The appointment is a fantastic achievement and reflects Tyler’s commitment to supporting aspiring legal professionals and helping strengthen connections across the local legal community.

A summer evening together

Colleagues from across the firm gathered for our annual Summer Party, enjoying a glorious summer evening and the chance to catch up away from the office. A special round of bingo added some extra laughter and friendly competition to the celebrations.
