Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.
A happy new year to all! Here’s how 2025 started for us here at Fosters.
Louise Gibbs-Kneller and Charlotte Ranson of our Wills, Trusts & Probate team were invited to present at an event being held at Wymondham Baptist Church. Our life planning specialists provided information and answered questions about Wills and Lasting Power of Attorney to those present.
If you would like to organise a legal surgery or presentation for a group you organise, please get in touch with us for more information.
We were delighted to hold both our first event of the year and the first of our AI’25 collaborations with Coder Agency! Over 120 people came along to The Nest, either to start their AI journey or to learn more about its integration into our commercial world. Presentations from Coder introduced the history of AI and provided real-world examples of its implementation into organisations.
Whilst our Chief Executive, Chris Brown gave some key take-aways about the legal setting and how to protect your business, particularly around internal policies. If you would like more information around AI and your business, whether regarding its implementation or legal advice around an AI policy, please do get in touch with Coder or us here at Fosters.
Our partners, the Norwich City Fans’ Social Club, hosted another memorable Mental Health Awareness Evening at Carrow Road, featuring 26 local mental health organisations. Canary legend Darren Eadie led the discussion, which also featured current Norwich City midfielder Emi Marcondes and NCFC Senior Performance Psychologist Matt Miller, who shared personal insights into the mental health challenges both within professional football and their personal lives.
The event, which has become an annual fixture, focuses on mental wellbeing and explores personal experiences, practical advice, and the importance of seeking help, with this evening also helping to raise £420 for the Community Sports Foundation via a raffle.
Our Personal Injury team are members and supporters of Headway, the UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury by providing vital support and information services.
Department heads, Steve Green and Chris Turner, have been recognised and reaccredited in the Headway members’ directory for another year and are panel members for both Headway Norfolk and Headway Suffolk.
Our Norwich City Community Hero for January was Colin Bland, a volunteer and chair of trustees for local homelessness charity, St Martins Housing Trust.
Colin was nominated by the charity for his 13 years of service for their takeover day at Norwich City’s match with Swansea City. Fosters’ Partner, Jamie Arnall presented Colin with his award at the match at Carrow Road.
