With the summer weather finally arriving, here’s what we got up to across the firm.
We headed to Liverpool to attend the Modern Law Private Client Awards where we had been shortlisted in three categories – Law Firm of the Year, Outstanding Client Care and Private Client Team Wills & Probate. Although we didn’t come away with an award on the night, for our wonderful private client teams to be recognised nationally is something we are all proud of!
Thanks to the Maids Head Hotel in Norwich for inviting us to meet other local businesses working in and around the Tombland area of the city. A lovely opportunity to network and see how we can all work together.
It’s hard to believe it’s that time of year again, but football pre-season had arrived, and teams were preparing for their new campaign, including us! Courtesy of fellow Norwich City FC partner, Coder Agency, our digital assets at Carrow Road have been given a fresh new look for 2024-25. We got to have a sneak peek before they went live at the Canaries’ friendly against Magdeburg.
We joined our fellow businesses in the town in brightening our branch for this year’s Wymondham in Bloom competition. Judges visited the town, with results expected in August. Good luck to everyone involved and congratulations to the event volunteers for all their hard work across the town.
Courtesy of Banham Zoo, several of our colleagues and their families were able to enjoy their member’s evening which involved lots of activities and getting to see their animal residents.
Thank you to Norwich City and their new principal partners, Blakely Clothing for inviting us to their open training session at Carrow Road. We got to hear from Sporting Director Ben Knapper about the club’s new season preparations and had the chance to see the Canaries’ new away kit first hand.
Our Court of Protection Paralegal, Elisa Bristo represented the firm at local charity, The Matthew Project’s dinner in Norwich, courtesy of Loveday & Partners. The charity helps support local people with drug and alcohol recovery and wellbeing.
The last Friday of the month saw us all enjoy some ice cream to help us cool down in the sunshine, as well as us participating in the first of our quarterly firm catch-ups. With the help of a live stream, Chief Executive Chris Brown and fellow partner, Jamie Arnall provided the whole firm with a business update and answered colleague questions on a range of subjects.
Plenty of glitter was on hand at our stall at this year’s Norwich Pride. It was the 16th anniversary of the event in the city, and we’ve been involved in all 16! Thanks to our colleagues who volunteered on the day, and it was great to see so many clients, old and new, who came to say hi.
