Fosters Solicitors

Community and Event News: June 2024

Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.

How is it even possible we’re halfway through this year already!? Lots has going on, here’s what we got up to in June.

Loveday & Partners’ Summer Festival

Thank you to our friends at Loveday & Partners for inviting us to their summer festival event.

Norwich Theatre Membership extension

We were delighted to extend our Corporate Membership with Norwich Theatre for the third year. This has seen us participate in some great events through their wonderful community network and helps us continue our support of the amazing local arts programme undertaken through Norwich Theatre.

Happy quizzing!

A group from our Business & Commercial teams formed Team Fosters for the Lovewell Blake Community Fund Quiz Night in Norwich – a great night with our local business community.

Our Summer Party

Not quite the summer weather we were hoping for, but fun was had all the same! We held our annual summer party at the Ha Ha Farm where colleagues from all three of our branches got together for food and entertainment.

NWABIN Annual Conference

Our Personal Injury colleagues, Taylor Walding and Zachary Taylor-Whitfield, attended this year’s Norfolk and Waveney Acquired Brain Injury Network Conference. The conference, which the firm supports each year, brings together leading practitioners within the brain injury field – an area which our Personal Injury team works closely with.

NCFSC

We were delighted to confirm another year of working with the Norwich City Fans Social Club.

Since October 2017, we have sponsored the group run by a team of dedicated volunteers who organise events for Norwich City Football Club supporters, with the aim of bringing together the football club community and fundraising for the Canaries’ official charity, the Community Sports Foundation.

Town Close School careers fair

Colleagues, Tyler Clayton, Charlotte Bishop and Lucas Allum represented the firm at the school’s careers fair, speaking to students and answering their questions about pursuing a career in law.

Bring a Dog to Work Day

We were joined by a few little helpers around our offices at this year’s bring a dog to work day.

Lowestoft First Light Festival

Jordan Rodwell from our Wills, Trusts & Probate team was delighted to accept an invitation from Smith & Pinching to their event supporting the First Light Festival on Lowestoft beach.

Summer Vacation Scheme

We welcomed our 2024 Summer Vacation Scheme students who spent two weeks with us gaining practical experience and learning more about a career in law.

Wymondham Food & Drink Festival

The 2024 festival helped raise around £5,000 for local charities. This is the second year we have helped support the town event alongside fellow local businesses.

Royal Norfolk Show

Colleagues attended the annual event to meet with our corporate and community partners over a very warm couple of days at the Norfolk Showground.

Norwich Pride Guide Launch

To mark one month before Norwich Pride, our Partners, Chris Fielding and Lucy Simpson, were delighted to attend the 2024 Pride Guide Launch event at Aviva’s Marble Hall to hear what’s in store for the 16th Norwich event. It takes place on Saturday 27th July and we will be present in The Forum on the day.

Chips all round!

To mark the end of the month, colleagues took part in a mindfulness walk and we also had chips delivered to our offices. Thank you to Bucket List and to the local fish and chip shops in Wymondham and Lowestoft for our lovely lunches!
