Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.
From charity events and professional achievements to community outreach and sporting fun, September was a month filled with activity, collaboration, and celebration.
The month began with a focus on professional development, as our Head of Business & Commercial, Jamie Arnall, led an online training session for members of the Eastern Landlords Association. As a firm partner, we facilitate a monthly legal surgery for their members – this time covering the legal obligations of handling and holding personal data for tenancies.
We were delighted to welcome aspiring solicitors for our Trainee Solicitor Assessment Day. The event offered candidates the chance to experience life at Fosters, demonstrate their skills, and learn more about a career in law. Throughout September, our Wills, Trusts & Probate team continued to offer free legal surgeries at Royal Norwich, providing trusted advice to members.
We joined the 10th edition of Run Norwich, with colleagues proudly competing and the firm entering the Corporate Challenge with 24 other local business teams.
Alongside Run Norwich, colleagues formed a new running group, beginning regular 5k training sessions together.
Volunteers from Fosters supported Finnbar’s Force at their annual family event with lots of games and activities taking place, also helping raise awareness for our charity of the year, which is dedicated to children and families affected by cancer.
Solicitor Tyler Clayton represented Fosters at the South Norfolk and Broadland District Council event in Norwich, presenting on the forthcoming Renters’ Rights Bill and the potential legislative changes that could impact tenants and landlords.
We were proud to join Norwich Theatre’s annual exhibition as part of our corporate membership, showcasing the services and collaboration of the theatre’s business community.

Congratulations to Polly Temple, who officially qualified as a solicitor this month. Polly is a key member of our Corporate and wider Business & Commercial department – who happily celebrated Polly’s news in their office, as shown in the picture!
Another magnificent milestone was reached, with Partner Chris Fielding marking two decades with the firm – a fantastic achievement, and one celebrated with cake in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team!
Several colleagues celebrated well-earned promotions, including new associates and senior associates announced as part of the Fosters’ Career Development Programme.
We were delighted to confirm the promotion of our Court of Protection specialist, Paige Gouldthorpe to the Partnership of the firm. Congratulations Paige!
A group from Fosters joined 160 fellow professionals in the annual Norwich Legal Walk, raising funds for local legal charities, including the Norwich Community Law Service.
September saw the launch of our very first Community Information Morning, held at the Olive Centre in Lowestoft. In partnership with Christie’s Care, the event provided advice and signposting for local residents, helping them learn about the care and life planning services available in the Waveney area.
Associate Ashley Roe represented Fosters at the Chedgrave Oxygen Therapy Centre’s first anniversary celebrations – having supported the charity with lease advice via the Norfolk Community Foundation’s Skills Exchange.
Members of our Family & Children team attended the Norfolk & Norwich Law Society’s Annual Dinner and Excellence Awards. The evening brought together professionals from across the county to celebrate achievements in law.
At the Norwich City vs Wrexham match, we celebrated our Community Hero of the month, Terry Southgate, a dedicated fundraiser for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Terry is pictured with our Partner, David Gabell being presented with a certificate to mark the occasion.
Our Litigation & Dispute Resolution team took part in the always-popular NCFSC quiz night at Carrow Road, which helped raise over £3,000 for the Community Sports Foundation.
Congratulations and a warm welcome from everyone at Fosters goes to Kai McGreal who has recently joined and qualified into our Business & Commercial department. Kai provides specialist support across our Commercial and Fosters In House services.
We rounded off September with a charity bake sale, raising funds for Finnbar’s Force – and enjoying some delicious homemade cakes!
