Finance Manager Louise MacCorquodale promoted to Partner
We are delighted to congratulate Louise MacCorquodale on her promotion to Partner at Fosters Solicitors.
Louise joined Fosters in May 2023 as the firm’s Finance Manager and plays a key role in communicating financial information across the business, helping to support reporting, compliance and strategic decision-making.

Having successfully progressed through the Fosters’ Career Development Programme, Louise becomes only the firm’s second non-lawyer Partner, following Fosters’ Practice Director, Andrea Spooner.
Welcoming Louise to the Partnership, Andrea commented: “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Louise to the Fosters’ Partnership.
“Since joining the firm, she has made a hugely positive impact, helping to strengthen our financial planning and strategic thinking while bringing professionalism, insight and a collaborative approach to everything she does. Her promotion is thoroughly deserved and reflects the dedication, expertise and commitment she has shown throughout her time with us.
“Louise’s journey is also a brilliant example of what can be achieved through determination and a willingness to embrace new opportunities. Making a mid-career change took real courage, and the breadth of experience she has brought from different businesses and sectors continues to benefit our firm enormously.
“I’m incredibly proud of everything Louise has achieved and look forward to continuing to work alongside her as we grow and develop our partnership.”
Commenting on her promotion, Louise added: “Becoming a Partner wasn’t something I envisaged when I started my career. I changed direction at 30 after having my second child, retrained and started again from the bottom, so to be in this position today is something I’m incredibly proud of.
“One of the things I’ve always valued about Fosters is that there are different pathways open to people from a variety of backgrounds. Not everyone follows a traditional route, and I think that’s a real strength.
“I’ve also benefited from working alongside colleagues across the firm through the Career Development Programme, which has given me the opportunity to learn from different perspectives while continuing to develop professionally. If my journey shows others that there are different ways to progress and that opportunities are there to be achieved, then that’s something I’m proud to be part of.”
