After two years of partnering with Norfolk and Waveney Mind as our chosen charity of the year, we have been delighted to handover our total fundraising donation.
Having had such a great 2022 working with the local mental health charity, our colleagues wanted to nominate them again for our charity of year for 2023 too, and in doing so have raised a wonderful £5,300.
Across this year, we have held monthly dress down days, prize draws and a Halloween quiz night. Our Wymondham office also raised over £500 through their Wynterfest tombola.
In addition, we have supported Norfolk and Waveney Mind by participating in their Do Blue day, World Mental Health Day quiz, Christmas choir and volunteered at their pop-up cake stall at the Stody Classic Vehicle Day.
Commenting on our work with the charity, Fosters Solicitors’ Chief Executive, Chris Brown said: “A big thank you to all at Norfolk and Waveney Mind who have been wonderful to work with – not only in the fundraising events they have hosted, but also helping us with wellbeing and mindfulness sessions and bespoke training.
“Thank you also to our great team here at Fosters and our clients who have really embraced the charity and helped us raise such a great total across the two years.”
Rachel Walsh, Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Lead at Norfolk and Waveney Mind, added: “It’s fantastic to see the dedication of Fosters Solicitors in making a positive impact on mental health in our community. We appreciate the initiative and the commitment shown over the past two years, from volunteering at events to dress-down days, and other fundraising activities.
“Each year the demand for our services increases as more and more people seek support for their mental health. As Norfolk and Waveney’s leading mental health charity, we supported over 35,000 local people last year through our wide range of services and support programmes.
“Their generous contribution of £5,300 over the past two years has significantly contributed in helping us provide a range of services and support programmes to local people with poor mental health, including piloting new projects like climate anxiety support groups. We are truly thankful for the dedication of Fosters Solicitors in championing mental health awareness and making a positive impact in our community.”
