Fosters Solicitors is delighted to be working with Wymondham Dementia Support Group, as the firm’s charity of the year for 2026.
Just a few minutes’ walk from our Wymondham branch, WDSG is a remarkable local charity dedicated to supporting people living with dementia, alongside their carers and families, across Wymondham, the surrounding villages, and South Norfolk. Their work is rooted in compassion, community, and connection – values that strongly resonate with all of us at Fosters.
Founded in 2008, WDSG’s core initiative is the much-loved Pabulum Café, held every Monday and Friday at the Fairland Church Centre in Wymondham. The café provides a welcoming, relaxed space where attendees can enjoy activities such as pool, table tennis, poetry, and singing, while carers benefit from the chance to share experiences, seek guidance, and feel supported in a safe and understanding environment.
Throughout 2026, our internal fundraising efforts will proudly support WDSG. Beyond fundraising, however, we are equally committed to working in partnership with the charity to explore meaningful, practical ways to help – whether through volunteering our time or offering support through our professional legal expertise.
Practice Director, Andrea Spooner, commented: “We are delighted to be working with the Wymondham Dementia Support Group as our charity of the year. This is a cause that is very close to the hearts of many of our colleagues, who are incredibly passionate about being directly involved and supporting this volunteer-led organisation.
“As we’ve seen with our previous charity partnerships, it’s important to us to find ways to make a real difference – not only through fundraising, but also through volunteering and offering practical support using our professional skills. We’re incredibly proud and excited to be working with WDSG on such a worthy cause.”
Speaking on behalf of WDSG, Chair of Trustees Andy Rackham (pictured), said: “There are approximately 3,500 registered charities in Norfolk – a remarkable number of dedicated people supporting thousands of worthwhile causes, all working to raise funds and make a positive difference in our local community.
“That perspective highlights just how fortunate and honoured we are to have been selected as Charity of the Year for 2026 by the prominent firm of local solicitors, Fosters. On behalf of our trustees, organisers, volunteers, members and carers, I would like to extend our sincerest thanks for choosing us from among so many deserving charities. We are truly grateful for this opportunity.
“As we look ahead to 2026, we have several new ventures planned alongside our ongoing costs and commitments. Support from organisations such as Fosters will play a vital role in helping us achieve our goals. We wish Fosters every success in their fundraising throughout the year and will, of course, be delighted to support them in any way we can.”
