James heads our Commercial Property team and specialises in all areas of commercial property, including sales and purchases, leasehold work, dealing with development sites, overage and option agreements.
James has over a decade of experience working in both commercial and residential property.
Focusing on and building his commercial portfolio over this period, he is experienced in all areas of commercial property, including sales and purchases, leasehold work, dealing with development sites, overage and option agreements.
He believes in presenting his service in a comprehensive but approachable fashion, tailored not just to get a matter completed, but ensuring that his guidance is still useable and useful going forward.
James is recognised as a Recommended Lawyer for both Commercial Property and Property Litigation in The Legal 500 UK 2025 and noted for being “thorough and informative“.
James joined the Fosters Solicitors’ partnership to head our commercial property team in May 2021 having built over a decade of expertise in local practice. He has firm links to the local area having graduated from the University of East Anglia, where he read Modern History and later Law. James then studied through distance learning his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Birmingham, before completing his training to become a solicitor back in Norwich. James is a long-standing Formula 1 and sports fan in general, as well as enjoying a variety of nerdy pursuits, he loves quizzing and video gaming.
