Louise is an Associate of the firm and joint deputy head of our Wills, Trusts & Probate team. She holds Chartered status as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and specialises in intestacy estate administration, as well as being a full member of STEP.
Louise spent several years working as a legacy officer for the palliative, neurological and bereavement support charity Sue Ryder, before moving to a law practice specialising in intestacy estate administration.
Therefore, Louise has vast experience in supporting individuals and families to help settle the affairs of those who have passed away with or without a Will – and help them manage the distribution of all their assets, as well as advice concerning their pensions, debts and tax implications.
Through Rosedale Training, Louise has completed a training course on supporting those bereaved by suicide. She is also an FCILEx, and full member of STEP.
Louise is a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ in The Legal 500 UK 2025 and described as “top-class“.
Louise has qualified for this highest level of STEP membership (known as TEP) due to her significant first-hand experience of working within the field of life planning and estate administration – as well as undertaking the STEP exam programme.
This membership requires Louise to continue to adhere to STEP’s Codes of Professional Conduct – demonstrating her commitment to the highest of professional standards.
Louise is the holder of the STEP Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation.
This particular qualification demonstrates Louise’s competence and expertise in Will drafting, and compliance with the STEP will writing code of practice.
Originally from Essex, Louise moved to Norwich to study law at undergraduate and postgraduate level at UEA, before completing her Legal Practice Course at the University of the West of England on a distance learning basis. In October 2024, Louise was promoted to an Associate of the firm and took on the role of joint deputy head of the Wills, Trusts & Probate department. Outside of work, Louise’s young son keeps her busy, but she is also a volunteer councillor for her local town council. Her interests include card-making and she has recently taught herself calligraphy to add to her crafting repertoire. Louise is also an avid reader and takes part in a monthly book club.
