Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.
July was bursting with community spirit, collaboration, and celebration here at Fosters. We’re thrilled to share just how eventful the month was for us!
We proudly held our Charity Wills Month throughout July, raising awareness and vital funds for our Charity of the Year, Finnbar’s Force. Thank you to everyone who got involved and helped us make a difference for this wonderful cause.
We were delighted to renew our partnership with the Norwich City Fans’ Social Club for another two seasons, a valued relationship we’ve enjoyed since 2017. With lots more exciting events to come from the group, we look forward to seeing what we can continue to achieve together in support of the Community Sports Foundation.
We were delighted to see our Court of Protection specialist, Paige Gouldthorpe, recognised at the 2025 Modern Law Private Client Awards. Paige was shortlisted in two categories, Lawyer of the Year – Wills & Probate and Rising Star of the Year – and it was for this latter category that Paige was Highly Commended for her specialist area of work.
Our Sports Committee organised a summer paddle on the River Wensum, which colleagues and students from our Summer Vacation Scheme took part in.
The second of our AI25 events – in partnership with Coder Agency – was held at the beautifully sunny setting of our strategic partners, Royal Norwich. Thanks to everyone who joined us for this insightful discussion on the integration of AI and its potential impact on business.
Throughout the month, our Wills, Trusts & Probate colleagues ran free legal surgeries at Royal Norwich, providing drop-in support and guidance to their members. The team will be holding further surgeries in September – if you’re passing The Stables at the venue, do look out for them or contact us directly to book an appointment.
Lorna Stoker from our Court of Protection & Vulnerable Persons team attended a Norfolk Professionals Breakfast, hosted by the Alan Boswell Group at their Prospect House premises.
Paige Gouldthorpe was a speaker at this inaugural event held at Bond in Norwich, which brought together like-minded and professional women in various sectors of business – Paige shared her career journey and discussed the Court of Protection sector she works in.
Our Solicitor Apprentice, Elisa Bristo, was invited to attend the Access Community Trust’s 50th Anniversary Charity Gala with colleague Jordan Rodwell. It was an honour to celebrate such an incredible milestone with them – marking half a century of supporting thousands of local people in the Waveney area and beyond.
Serena Djiakouris from our Family & Children team attended the International Children’s Law Conference, engaging in several insightful seminars focused on the evolving landscape of this area of family law.
In celebration of local grassroots football, we were excited to run our Anglian Combination 60th Anniversary Competition and delighted to announce Wroxham FC as the winners. Their entry highlighted their own legacy, dating back from 1892, and their connection to the Anglian Combination Football League throughout its 60 years, making them the judges’ winning choice.
As Corporate Members, some of our colleagues were delighted to attend this networking event, which included a wonderful backstage tour of the visiting production, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Colleagues from our Lowestoft office turned up with glitter and competitions in hand, spreading fun at the third Pride event to be held in the town at Sparrows Nest Gardens.
We held our much-loved Bring Your Dog to Work Day, which brought wagging tails and lots of smiles across the offices. Our furry friends certainly enjoyed the attention!
We were invited to Royal Norwich’s Strategic Golf Partner Day, where colleagues not only networked but also tried their hand at a few swings – some even learning golf for the first time!
Our sports committee continued their run of local football matches, this time with a match against fellow law firm, Clapham & Collinge.
Three of our colleagues, Ben Yallop, Polly Temple and Liberty Amies went along to a cocktail masterclass to meet fellow young professionals and polish their mixing skills!
With the theme of 200 years of railway, organisations around Wymondham, including our own branch, took part in the annual event in the town. Our display was recognised for best plant care and rated outstanding.
For its 17th year, we joined Norwich Pride once again with our stall at The Forum full of glitter, games, and Fosters’ flair! A wonderful day of celebration and support for the LGBTQ+ community.
