The opportunity

We are looking for a confident and personable team player to work alongside experienced fee earners within the Wills, Trusts & Probate team based at our Wymondham branch.

The position involves supporting two fee earners and would ideally suit an experienced Personal Assistant who can effectively prioritise both their own workload and that of their fee earners. The successful candidate will have exceptional organisational skills and initiative, excellent client care abilities, and a calm, confident telephone manner. They will also be able to work well under pressure and contribute effectively as part of a team.

Main responsibilities

• Diary management: Efficiently manage and coordinate the diary of the fee earners, scheduling meetings and appointments.
• Document preparation: Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
• Client liaison: Act as the first point of contact for clients, handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and providing exceptional client service.
• Case management: Assist with the management of files, including maintaining accurate records, updating the case management systems, and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
• Billing and financial administration: Assist in the preparation of billing and manage financial records related to client accounts, including handling invoices and expenses.
• Team support: Provide general administrative support to the team, including managing emails, filing, photocopying, and handling telephone calls.

Knowledge of Wills, Trusts and Probate work is not necessary but would be preferable for this position. The following are essential:

• Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, with a legal background.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work on your own initiative.
• Strong administration skills, well organised, able to multitask and strong audio typing skills.
• Strong communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
• Team player with the ability to organise your own workload and adapt and prioritise quickly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Further training will be provided and the opportunity to develop is available to the right candidate.
