Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.
Here we take a look at the great variety of events and activities our colleagues took part in during February 2025.
Elisa Bristo from our Court of Protection & Vulnerable Persons team visited Sam’s Wellbeing Hub in Lowestoft, to learn more about what the Access Community Trust facility has to offer and understand how we might collaborate in helping vulnerable people in the town.
Our Head of Court of Protection & Vulnerable Persons team, Paige Gouldthorpe, attended this year’s Modern Law Wills & Probate Conference in Coventry, where she took part in its Journey and Success Panel discussion, which was chaired by former President of the Law Society, Dr I. Stephanie Boyce, alongside fellow panellists Jade Gani and Trevor Worth.
Our Sports Committee organised an evening of laser tag, which from this, looks like it was a pretty fun night out!
This year, we took the opportunity to shout out about our growing number of apprentices within the firm – with seven colleagues now undertaking either their Apprentice Paralegal or Solicitor Apprentice pathway with Fosters.
This month saw our partnership with the Safe Suffolk Renters community grow even further, with colleagues attending two of their events this month in Oulton Broad and Melton.
The events saw landlords, letting agents and property managers explore more on the forthcoming Renters’ Rights Bill and topical issues of damp and mould.
Our property litigation specialist Tyler Clayton presented about the topics, supported by colleagues Ashley Roe, Tom Miller, Will Hoy and Jordan Rodwell.

We were delighted to host our friends from Finnbar’s Force and Norwich Theatre to watch Norwich City play Preston North End. As well as a night under the lights at Carrow Road, it was a great opportunity to catch up with our partners, and also meet trustees and families who benefit from the support of Finnbar’s Force.
Senior Associate, Paige Gouldthorpe presented an educational seminar alongside Fraser and Fraser on ‘Practicing with Purpose – A guide to the Mental Capacity Act 2005 for vulnerable clients’. The webinar was very well received by practitioners, with Paige highlighting real-life experiences of her work in this area of law.
Law students from the University of East Anglia were invited to the firm’s Norwich main office to meet with some of our newly qualified and trainee solicitors, as well as those undertaking apprenticeships – to gain an understanding about pathways into law and what working at a firm is like.
Our Fosters Solicitors’ Community Hero for February was Teddy Larkins, the top fundraiser for Junior Run Norwich 2024.
The nine-year-old was one of 200 runners to take part in the annual event organised by the Community Sports Foundation, raising over £800 for Norwich City Football Club’s charity.
Pictured is Teddy receiving his certificate from our colleague Tyler Clayton at the Stoke City match at Carrow Road.
Towards the end of the month, all colleagues came together to learn more about the firm’s strategic direction and objectives for the future. It was great to see everyone at the Norwich Playhouse who kindly hosted us for the event – thanks to their team for their support and to Brick Pizza for feeding us afterwards!
Our friends at the Norwich City Fans’ Social Club held their inaugural Great Norwich City FC Quiz, which was a resounding success, bringing together 27 enthusiastic teams for a night of fun, Canary knowledge, and friendly competition.
The event, held in support of the incredible Community Sports Foundation, saw a fantastic turnout, and raised an amazing £2,249 for this brilliant cause. Congratulations to all involved!
Colleagues joined the Norfolk and Norwich Junior Lawyers’ Division (NNJLD) for their February event at Mulligans in Norwich, which included networking over pizza and different sports games. Tyler Clayton and Elisa Bristo are members of the NNJLD committee, and it was a great opportunity to meet fellow lawyers from across the local legal community.
As part of a series of talks with the U3A group in Lowestoft, our Associate Louise Gibbs-Kneller joined them for a morning chatting all things care fees, funding care and lifetime gifting.
This also included Louise gifting the group some of our goodie bags!
