Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.
With plenty of summer season events and connections made across the firm – here’s what we got up to in June – how are we halfway through the year!
As part of our professional development, our partners at Coder Agency held workshops for colleagues to attend to learn about and discuss the use of LinkedIn in the legal industry.
We were delighted to receive The Law Society’s Lexcel standard for another year – a legal practice quality mark we’ve been proud to hold since 2014!
Lexcel is The Law Society’s legal practice quality mark for client care, compliance and practice management. The firm is assessed annually against set criteria which set standards around areas such as client care, risk management, financial management, and file and case management.
Fosters has again been commended for its desire to provide excellent client care, receiving confirmation of its accreditation against the Customer Service Excellence Standard (CSE) for the fifth year in a row. This is a national quality mark that seeks to recognise organisations that have a truly customer-focused culture.
Continuing our series of five-a-side friendlies with local professional service companies – the latest encounter took place with M&A Accountants.
Our Head of Court of Protection & Vulnerable Persons team, Paige Gouldthorpe, as Chair, hosted a Women in Wills’ get-together in Cambridge – all in support of diversity and inclusion during Pride Month.
Partner, Steve Green, attended the Adult Brain Injury Conference organised by the Brain Injury Group in Manchester. The event brought together legal, healthcare, and case management professionals dedicated to supporting individuals affected by brain injury – with informative discussions on mental capacity and supporting clients who lack capacity, as well as exploring personal relationships after brain injury.
Lorna Stoker from our Court of Protection & Vulnerable Persons team was invited to attend Duncan’s Club at The Nest.
The Community Sports Foundation initiative provides activities and support for people with dementia, together with their carers. Lorna was able to see first hand this incredible facility and the much-needed activities taking place.
Partners, Rebecca Laws and Sue Zavanaiu, attended this year’s Bold Legal Group Conveyancing Conference at Regent’s University in London. A full day of keynote speakers and panel discussions, brought together more than 100 law firms from across the country.
As part of Norfolk Community Foundation’s Skills Exchange, our Commercial Property colleague, Ashley Roe helped Chedgrave Oxygen Therapy Centre with some lease support.
This initiative connects Norfolk charities with the professional expertise of local businesses – helping them complete essential projects and continue vital services.
Our colleagues, Lisa Glynne, Tom Miller and Elisa Bristo, headed to Africa Alive Reserve near Lowestoft, to join Suffolk Chamber of Commerce’s safari networking event with over 80 other local business professionals from the area.
As part of our strategic partnership with Royal Norwich, representatives from our Wills, Trusts & Probate team have been holding free legal surgeries for their members and guests at The Stables restaurant.
Colleagues will be there every Thursday in July, so please do keep an eye open for Louise (pictured) and the rest of the team, and stop to chat to ask about our life planning support.

Courtesy of our primary partnership with Norwich City Football Club, we were delighted to hold our Fosters’ Football Cup competition at the Avant Training Centre. Colleagues and guests made up three teams who competed for our trophy, the winners of which were decided on a penalty shootout! We also got a special guest appearance from NCFC Ambassador, Jeremy Goss and had tours of the Canaries’ amazing training facilities.
Our 2025 cohort arrived for our Summer Vacation Scheme. The scheme annually offers two-week voluntary placements in our Norwich office for students to gain practical experience working with us in our award-winning practice areas.
Today’s Media, the publishers of Today’s Wills and Probate and organisers of The British Wills and Probate Awards, brought together a festival-style event, delivering headline speakers and contributors covering themes relevant to the private client sector.

As is customary in Norfolk at the end of June, colleagues joined the county’s business community at the Royal Norfolk Show.
Fosters is proud to be supporting a cause close to our hearts by launching a special Charity Will Month, to help raise vital funds for our charity of the year, Finnbar’s Force.
Throughout the month of July, our specialist Wills, Trusts & Probate team will be donating 10% of all fixed fee work to this incredible charity, helping support children and families affected by childhood cancer in Norfolk.
Charlotte Bishop and Lucas Allum of our Medical Negligence team, have concluded their one-year volunteering placements with the charity, Action against Medical Accidents.
The charity’s helpline provides support to those who have suffered injury following medical care – both Charlotte and Lucas have volunteered on the helpline, providing frontline advice and support to families.
