Fosters Solicitors

Community and Event News: May 2025

Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.

Here’s what we got up to during a marvellous May!

Dying Matters Awareness Week

Members of our Court of Protection & Vulnerable Persons and Wills, Trusts & Probate teams, provided a drop-in legal surgery at the Norfolk & Waveney Compassionate Communities’ Dying Matters event in The Forum, Norwich.

This free event has been held in the city for the last few years and brings together organisations and people supporting end of life issues, as part of the annual Dying Matters Awareness Week campaign.

NCFSC Social Night

As the football season came to a close, our friends at the Norwich City Fans’ Social Club organised a fun-packed social evening at the Lion & Castle at Carrow Road. Around 200 City fans packed in for the end-of-season bash – and raised a fantastic £1,190 for the Community Sports Foundation (CSF).

Pictured are our colleague Lorna Stoker who attended, alongside NCFSC volunteers, representatives of CSF and Norwich City stars, Onel Hernandez and Jack Stacey.

AvMA 50 Miles in May Challenge

A huge well done to our Medical Negligence & Inquests team who smashed their fundraising target for the Action against Medical Accidents’ 50 Miles in May Challenge!

With a final total of £1,187 raised and 575 miles clocked up between them – their efforts saw Team Fosters well-placed on the national charity’s leaderboard.

Wymondham Duck Race

Meet the latest member of Fosters, Quacking the Case! She took part in the annual Bank Holiday Monday Wymondham Abbey Duck Race at the River Tiffey. A huge thanks to our colleague Irina Goodwin for the beautiful decoration, and to Jordan Rodwell for coming up with such a quacking good name!

New accreditation secured

Congratulations to our Court of Protection specialist, Paige Gouldthorpe, who has successfully completed the intermediate tier of The Professional Deputies Accreditation Scheme.

UEA Mock Trial

We were again delighted to again support the UEA Law Society’s Mock Trial Competition, which saw our solicitors, Tyler Clayton, Lauren Beldom and Serena Djiakouris, create a scenario for the students to test themselves in the role of claimant or defendant. Thanks to all those who took part!

Networking for all

Elia Bristo and Jordan Rodwell represented our Court of Protection and Wills, Trusts & Probate teams in Lowestoft at a networking event – showcasing our life planning services and support for vulnerable people.

Hats for Headway

We donned our hats in support of brain injury awareness and were thrilled to be drawn winners of the Hats for Headway Norfolk and Waveney 2025 campaign prize draw!

Golf and noodles!

Our Sports Committee organised its latest event, a trip to Putt Putt Noodle!

Ten years and counting!

We were delighted to join the Eastern Landlords Association at their annual conference and EXPO in Norwich – where we launched news of the renewal of our long-standing partnership!

Marking a decade of working together, we will continue to support the ELA and their members with our expert legal services, including around property litigation, conveyancing and estate planning.

With the weather taking a turn for the better, our end of month wellbeing walk took some of us on a stroll around the ‘bootiful’ streets of Norwich.
