Talking about death, dying and bereavement isn’t always easy – but it’s one of the most important conversations we can have. That’s why we’re proud to be part of a meaningful community event taking place at The Forum in Norwich on Thursday 7th May, as part of Dying Matters Week 2026.
Organised by Compassionate Communities Norfolk & Waveney, this free event brings together local charities, organisations, and businesses with a shared goal – to help people feel less alone when facing serious illness, caring responsibilities, end-of-life planning, or bereavement.

Running from 9:30am to 3pm (with panel discussions from 10am to midday), the event – titled, “Myth Busting Death, Dying & Bereavement” – invites visitors to challenge assumptions, replace fear with facts, and build a better understanding of topics that are often avoided.
Throughout the day, you’ll find:
Whether you’re planning ahead, supporting a loved one, or simply curious to learn more, this event offers a safe and compassionate space to explore these important subjects.
We’re pleased to share that our Wills, Trusts & Probate and Court of Protection & Vulnerable Persons teams will be there on the day, offering a drop-in legal surgery in the Forum’s Atrium.
Our specialists will be available to provide guidance on:
If you’ve been meaning to put plans in place or have questions about protecting your future and your loved ones, this is a valuable opportunity to speak directly with experienced professionals. You’re welcome to drop in on the day, or if you’d prefer a dedicated time, you can contact us in advance to pre-book an appointment.
We’re also proud that our Wills and estate planning specialist, Louise Gibbs-Kneller, will be contributing to the panel discussion titled, “Being prepared for death and dying.” This session, to be held in the Forum’s Auditorium at 11:10am, will bring together voices from across the community to share insights, answer questions, and help demystify what it means to plan ahead with confidence and care.
