Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.
February was a busy and rewarding month across the firm. Our colleagues celebrated milestones, shared their expertise through webinars and community events, supported local initiatives and connected with partners and organisations across the region. Here’s a look at some of the highlights from the past month.
February’s Fosters Solicitors’ Community Hero was the late Dawn Lossau, nominated by Finnbar’s Force for her remarkable strength and compassion in supporting the charity after the death of her daughter Maisie. Dawn sadly and unexpectedly passed away in 2024 – and the charity wanted to honour her impact and legacy.

This month, our colleagues Gemma Buskell and Leanne Pipe marked 10 years with Fosters. Their teams came together to celebrate this fantastic milestone and thank them for a decade of dedication and contribution.

Throughout the month, our Wills, Trusts & Probate team continued to hold their weekly legal surgeries at Royal Norwich. If you’re passing The Stables on a Thursday, do pop in to say hello – the team will be happy to answer any life-planning questions you may have.

Congratulations to everyone involved with the Norwich City Fans’ Social Club, who were honoured at the inaugural Community Sports Foundation Awards 2026, held at The Nest.
The awards celebrate individuals and groups who go above and beyond for the charity and the wider community. With the Social Club celebrating 10 years and having raised an incredible £100,000 for the Foundation, they were very deserving recipients of the Outstanding Contribution Award.

This month, our Associate Louise Gibbs-Kneller delivered a webinar with MBL, sharing her expertise on advanced decisions for medical treatment. Louise also held a legal surgery for carers through the NSFT carers group in Lowestoft.

Our Family Law colleague, Niamh Cogley, attended the Norwich Business Womens Network lunch, meeting members of the local business community and strengthening professional connections.

Our property litigation expert Tyler Clayton supported both the Safe Suffolk Renters initiative and our partners at the Eastern Landlords Association, presenting at their respective events in Lowestoft and Norwich. The sessions focused on the impact of the Renters’ Rights Act, with landlords given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the upcoming changes.

Our friends at the Norwich City Fans Social Club hosted a special fans’ forum to celebrate their incredible milestone of raising £100,000 for the Community Sports Foundation since their formation in 2015. More than 200 people attended, hearing from City players Ali Ahmed, Ruairi McConville and Pelle Mattsson, and joining the celebrations.

We are once again delighted to support the UEA Law Society’s Mock Trial Competition. Our colleagues Sam Webb and Barnaby Hearnden helped organise the first round, which saw four enthusiastic and well-prepared teams argue issues surrounding the capacity and validity of a Will, as well as reasonable financial provision for dependants. Well done to everyone involved – we look forward to hosting the final in a few weeks’ time.

We were delighted to host our friends from the Norwich City Fans Social Club at the Norwich City v Birmingham match as their milestone celebrations in support of the Community Sports Foundation continued. We were also thrilled to be invited pitchside, alongside representatives from Norwich City and the Community Sports Foundation, to mark the occasion.

Our Sports Committee organised a ten-pin bowling evening, which was very well attended – and a few people even scored a turkey!

Colleagues from our Business & Commercial team joined our digital partners Coder Agency for an evening of cheese, wine and networking. Thank you for hosting us!

Solicitor Apprentice and UEA graduate, Elisa Bristo, was invited to be part of the UEA International Women’s Day Panel, sharing her legal apprenticeship journey alongside other alumni.
