The opportunity

We are currently seeking a confident and personable Paralegal to join Lynn Satchell and our Personal Injury team in Norwich. This is an exciting opportunity to support a busy and highly regarded department in delivering outstanding client service to individuals who have suffered injury through no fault of their own, with a particular focus on Fast Track Claims and those proceeding through the Claims Portals.

This role offers the chance to develop your legal and administrative skills in a rewarding area of law where empathy, attention to detail, and efficient case support make a real difference to clients’ lives.

About you and key responsibilities

You will play a vital role in supporting our personal injury lawyers ensuring that all administrative and client care processes run smoothly. Typical duties will include:

  • Managing incoming post, emails, and client correspondence.
  • Preparing standard documentation and drafting straightforward letters or forms.
  • Opening and closing client files in accordance with compliance requirements.
  • Assisting with the preparation of court bundles and supporting documents.
  • Liaising with clients, medical agencies, insurers, and third parties.
  • Obtaining and organising medical reports, witness statements, and other evidence.
  • Maintaining accurate file notes and updating the Case Management System.
  • Answering telephone calls, taking detailed messages, and providing updates to clients.
  • Supporting fee earners with general administrative tasks as required.

Skills and experience required

While prior knowledge of personal injury law is advantageous, it is not essential. Full training will be provided. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication.
  • Confidence in dealing with telephone queries and client drop-ins.
  • Ability to adapt and reprioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Case Management Systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive, initiative-led approach to problem-solving.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanour.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the role.

Training and development

You will receive full training by Lynn and the team and the opportunity to develop is available to the right candidate.
