Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.
April really saw the event season take off, with plenty going on across all of our partnerships, community and practice areas.
We were delighted to confirm our Associate, Lauren Crosby has become a full member of STEP – the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Lauren achieved distinctions in all of her exams and also received a STEP Diploma in trusts and estates.
For those working within the field of estate planning and administration, our Associate, Louise Gibbs-Kneller, was invited by MBL Seminars to join them for a webinar to share her experience and knowledge on digital assets in estate administration.
Our colleagues, Josh Perez-Fosh and Katy Dickinson, attended the NCFC Directors’ Dinner with Eleven Sports Media at Carrow Road.
A group of us took part in Brown & Co’s annual charity quiz at The Assembly House, which raised an amazing £7,822 for the agricultural support charity, RABI. Well done to all those who took part!
We were delighted to attend the official launch of the Norfolk Cricket Foundation, formerly the Norfolk Cricket Board. Our Business & Commercial team have been heavily involved in supporting our partner’s exciting new direction and helping them obtain their charitable status. We were therefore excited to join them and other fellow partners at The Nest to mark this occasion.
Our sporting friendlies with fellow law firm Hansells continued, this time with a mini pool tournament!
We were delighted to support our charity of the year, Finnbar’s Force, at their fundraising ball at Dunston Hall – with over 200 guests attending, they raised an incredible £20,000!
Our Corporate team were delighted to host guests from EMF Business Transfer Agents at the Canaries’ match with Sunderland at Carrow Road, where they joined us in our hospitality box to watch the match.
The Norfolk Community Foundation invited us and representatives from other local professional service firms, to explore how our collective efforts can better champion the local charitable sector, and celebrate the incredible impact already being made.
Paige Gouldthorpe from our Court of Protection & Vulnerable Persons team was invited to speak at Norwich Cathedral about preparing for death: Living wills, Wills and Powers of Attorney and their importance. Paige was accompanied at the event by Reverend Helen Garrard, Chaplain at Priscilla Bacon Hospice and Paul Allcock from Allcock Family Funeral Services.
Tom Miller and Jordan Rodwell from our Wills, Trusts & Probate team attended Suffolk Chambers’ event at Newmarket Racecourse.
Our Fosters Solicitors’ Community Hero for April was Sam McGinn, creator and organiser of local men’s mental health support group, The Mend.

Jordan Rodwell represented the firm at the Fosters Solicitors Anglian Combination’s Mummery Cup Final between Acle United v Dersingham Rovers at The FDC in Bowthorpe. Congratulations to Acle who claimed the trophy on the night!
Colleagues from across the firm donated Easter eggs for our charity of the year, Finnbar’s Force, for them to give to visitors to their family support hub in Eaton, where they were hosting Easter activities, as well as a drop-in event – which saw our colleague Louise Gibbs-Kneller undertake a legal surgery.
Tristan Cork (pictured) from the charity was also able to pop some of these eggs to the Children’s Oncology Clinic at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
To take part in Wymondham’s annual St George’s Day commemorations, our office in the town had its flags flying!

Commercial Director, Will Hoy, attended the FIG Financial Industry Group Annual Conference 2025: AI in Financial and Professional Services at Aviva’s Marble Hall – another great opportunity within our sector to discuss Norfolk’s digital future.
Our colleagues, Katy Dickinson and Bethanie Mantin joined representatives from other Norwich City FC Partners to have the opportunity to try clay pigeon shooting for the first time.
Our Court of Protection & Vulnerable Persons team travelled to Kent Rivers Age UK offices to learn more about the wonderful work they do with both their service users, and also meet their staff to see how they can help them with their work. They also met ‘Alf’ of the charity’s #AskAboutAlf initiative, who is here pictured with the team!
We supported Safe Suffolk Renters’ latest event, this time being held in Newmarket, where colleagues were on hand to provide conveyancing and estate planning advice – as well as our property litigation specialist, Tyler Clayton, presenting on the latest updates with regards the Renters’ Rights Bill.
