David heads our Medical Negligence & Inquests team and is experienced in a broad range of clinical claims, including surgical negligence, delay in diagnosis/misdiagnosis, dental negligence, improper prescription of medication, obstetric birth injuries (injuries to the mother), birth injuries (injuries to the child), psychiatric injuries and fertility claims.

David has over a decade of experience in representing clients and families who have suffered injury and loss as a result of negligent medical treatment. He aims to help guide clients through the process, taking the burden away from them, and seeking to ensure the best possible outcome. David is one of only a few AvMA accredited medical negligence specialist solicitors in the East Anglia region and has achieved APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) ‘Senior Litigator’ status. He is recognised as a Next Generation Partner by The Legal 500 UK 2026 and won the Cambridge District Law Society Newly Qualified Lawyer of the Year Award 2013. David has practised solely in medical negligence law since qualifying in 2012, became a Partner at Fosters in May 2023 and joined the Fosters’ Board in May 2026. He grew up in North Norfolk and now lives in Norwich.
In his spare time, David enjoys spending time with his young family, being a Dad, keeping fit, crossfit training, riding his track bike at race circuits around the UK and playing guitar.
